British Guiana Covers and Cancellations 1889 (May-Sept.) envelopes (4) from Georgetown sent within the city, each bearing Inland Revenue 2c. cancelled with squared-circle d.s. or c.d.s. and sent when the city rate was 1c.; 1889 (Aug.) and (Nov.) envelopes from Georgetown sent within the city at the 1c. rate; 1890 large part newspaper wrapper from Georgetown to Berbice bearing 1890 1c. on $2 with c.d.s.; 1894 envelope from Georgetown to Buxton (5 miles away) bearing 1890 1c., apparently underpaid and untaxed; 1897 1c. envelope from Georgetown and used within the city to Canon Josa, a founder member of the British Guiana Philatelic Society, and 1901 long envelope registered to New Amsterdam, franked at 5c. and with registration label on reverse. A few faults in places though an unusual group Estimate £ 90-100
