Sudan British Military Forces in Egypt and Sudan, 1801 to 1913 Gordon Relief Expedition - Nile River Column 1884-85 1885 (6 Jan.) envelope to England, bearing Egypt 1879 1pi. rose tied by bi-lingual "wadi-halfa" c.d.s. with another strike alongside and arrival c.d.s. on reverse; the envelope with some minor peripheral faults. Also 1885 (Feb.) envelope from Alexandria to England franked at 1pi. and showing, on reverse, manuscript "Soudan Campaign", 1896 (9 Dec.) piece bearing 1884 1pi.
