x Great Britain Postal History Ireland 1856 (10 Sept.) envelope to New York, bearing 1d. ´stars´ cancelled by ink manuscript ´star´ with superb green "rathfriland" double-arc d.s. alongside, affixed with 1847-54 Embossed 1/- green, enormous margins (showing porions of three adjoining stamps) tied by superb black "newry/357" ´Spoon´ cancellation (English type), red American curved "paid" and "5/cents" handstamps adjacent; adhesives with light pressed crease though in absolutely no way detracting from the stunning appearance of this most unusual cover.
