x Great Britain Postal History Ireland 1856 (17 June) 1d. pink postal stationery envelope to Beyrout, uprated with 2d. ´stars´ and 1847-54 Embossed 10d. red-brown (margins all round, mostly very large) cancelled by light strikes of the black "318" numeral of Maghera and the adhesives tied by very fine red double-ring "england per aachen" d.s.; the upper flap missing and the 10d. with fault at foot though in no way detracting from the excellent appearance. A rare combination of franking and overseas destination. Exhibition quality. Photo Estimate £ 600-800
