x Great Britain Postal History Ireland 1856 (6 Oct.) envelope to Damascus, bearing 1d. ´stars´ and 1847-54 Embossed 1/- green (enormous margins two sides) tied by superb strikes of the black derry/172" ´Spoon´ cancellation (English type), the 1d. also tied by fine large red double-ring "england per aachen", black handstruck "beyrut/30 otto." of the Austrian Post Office at left; some faults though still most attractive.
