French Foreign Post Offices Cochin China 1877 (20 Oct.) envelope from Hue, Annam, to London, bearing General Issues 1871-76 thin figures of value, imperf. 40c. orange cancelled by "annam/hue" c.d.s. in blue with a further strike alongside, showing "col. f.v. suez paq. f./3 mars. 3" octagonal d.s. in blue (18 Dec.) and London Paid c.d.s. in red (19 Dec.), the envelope then carried privately to Brighton where the cover has been re-addressed (on reverse) to Paris with addition of G.B. 1877 21/2d. rosy mauve Plate 9 cancelled with superb "132" duplex, the reverse (small part of one flap missing) showing part Saigon c.d.s. (8 Dec.) and Western Road, Brighton c.d.s. (31 Dec.); attractive and most unusual. A spectacular and almost certainly unique "combination" franking.
