French Foreign Post Offices Cochin China 1879 (6 Apr.) envelope from Hue to Paris and redirected to Beaujeu, Rhone, bearing 1877-78 imperf. 15c. grey cancelled with fine octagonal-framed "corr. d. armees/hue" d.s. and with a further superb strike at lower left corner, also showing "indo-chine/paq. fr. modane" c.d.s. ( 3 Jan.) in red and, on reverse (small part of flap torn away), Saigon (24 Apr.) and eight French transit d.s. Believed to be the only cover known bearing Sage type with this datestamp.
