Eden, 56th Regiment Crimea, one clasp, Sebastopol, lugs removed (Captain Morton Eden 56th Regiment), engraved in sloping medium serif letters; Turkish Crimea, British die, a fine quality contemporary copy (Captain Morton Eden 56th Regiment), engraved, swivel ring suspension, contact marks, nearly very fine (2) Estimate £ 180-220 Major Morton Eden entered the 56th Regiment as Ensign 1846, purchased his Lieutenancy in 1849 and Captain 22.9.1854; he disembarked with his Regiment in the Crimea, 22.8.1855; took part in the siege of Sebastopol and was present at the final assault 8.9.1855; made Brevet Major 1868 and Honorary Colonel 1879.
