A Royal Flying Corps Cadet's Notebook A loose-leaf notebook in cloth cover bearing the Wings badge of the RFC and inscribed The "Ideal" Royal Flying Corps Loose Leaf Note Book, 81/2 in. x 51/2 in., the front page with manuscript details of 10731 Cadet R.A. Broadbank, Nº 1 Squadron, 'A' Flight, Nº 1, R.F.C. Cadet Wing at St. Leonards-on-Sea, and dated November 1917, containing extensive hand-written lecture-notes on map reading and navigation, military organisation, tactical procedures, wireless, photography, theory of flight, aircraft rigging and repair, engines and instruments, bombs and machine guns, administration and Military Law &c, the book containing a stamped fragment of an envelope addressed to Cadet Broadbank, franked 16 November 1917; and a Christmas card, the cover embossed with RFC Wings in gold, the inside with printed greetings from Nº 1 Squadron RFC and a group photograph of the squadron, some 120 all ranks, including approximately 16 officers (2) Estimate £ 100-120
