Mementoes of The Royal Flying Corps A brass salver, 91/4 in. (23cm) diameter, engraved with the wings and motto of the RFC; a small cigarette-lighter, 11/4 in. high, made from two RFC brass buttons; a large embroidery of the RFC Wings and motto-scroll, in a glazed wooden frame, 13 in. x 19 in. overall; an oval wooden stud-box, possibly made from aircraft material, lined with plush, the lid mounted with RFC Wings in carved wood; an unstamped postcard entitled THE ZEPPELIN HEROES, depicting Flight-Lieutenants Robinson VC and Souray (sic.) in Service Dress; and a grey metal disc 1 7/8 in. (48mm) diameter, stamped with motto and badge of the RFC (possibly for use as an ash-tray) (6) Estimate £ 200-250
