Edison, Thomas Alva. American inventor and businessman; considered the most prolific inventor in US history; developed a number of devices used in electric power generation, mass communications, sound recording and motion pictures such as the phonograph, motion picture camera and the early electric light bulb. Document Signed "Thos A Edison". Thomas A Edison, Incorporated Certificate, No. 7, dated March 1, 1911, issuing 2,000 shares to the New Jersey Patent Company. Edison signs on verso, as company president, where the shares are transferred to him on November 30, 1917. Signed on front by Frank L. Dyer as president (Dyer had great influence on the structure of the early, emerging American film industry). Three pin Cancels. Splits in bottom fold lines. Otherwise Very Fine. Comes with an 1888 image on board of Edison working on perfecting the early wax cylinder type phonograph.
