Rogers, Will American humorist (1879-1935); known for his witty quips and the personal warmth that took some sting out of his barbs; also a cowboy and early airplane enthusiast. Great association Autograph Note Signed "Will Rogers," seven lines, on an 8.5" x 4" Steward´s Trip Report from Pan American Airways, Miami, October 27, 1932. After a three-day airplane trip from Para, Brazil to Miami (landing at twelve different places along the way), Rogers comments - with some careless spelling - on the service he received from steward Nilo Borges: "Very Good. A steward can be a great aid to Plane Travel, especilly long trips. And your services were excellant." Small piece out of upper left corner, tack hole, raised stain far from writing, minor wear, toning, VG. Rogers was a great supporter of aviation, becoming friends with Charles Lindbergh and especially Wiley Post. Three years after the trip he writes of here, Rogers and Post bgan an airplane trip across Alaska. Near Point Barrow they crashed into a lagoon while taking off, and both men were killed instantly.
