The Indian Mutiny Medal to Private R. Wakefield, 93rd (Sutherland Highlanders) Regiment of Foot, who also served with the 'Thin Red Line' during the Crimean War

Richard Wakefield was born circa 1825 and he served with the 93rd (Sutherland Highlanders) Regiment of Foot under regimental number 3188. During his decade of service with the Colours he was posted overseas to Turkey and the Crimea and later to the East Indies. Wakefield’s character was described as ‘very good’ and he received his pension on 1 August 1893, his address at the time being listed as the Bourne Estate in Holborn, London.

Wakefield is confirmed on the roll with entitlement to this medal and clasps, and is further entitled to a Crimea Medal 1854-56 with 2 clasps; sold together with copied research including medal rolls.
