Army L.S. & G.C., V.R. (2837 Color Sergt Henry J Ferguson. 45th Foot.), lightly toned, very fine

Henry J. Ferguson was born at Ormiskillen, Fermanagh, Ireland and attested into the 45th Regiment at Newport, Isle of Wight on 13 July 1846. He was promoted to Corporal on 25 September 1859, Sergeant on 1 October 1862 and to Colour Sergeant on 28 October 1863. Ferguson served in the Cape of Good Hope for 11 years and 6 months and the East Indies for 1 year and 11 months. He was discharged on 24 January 1871 and intended to live in Liverpool. His L.S. & G.C. is his sole entitlement.
