Army L.S. & G.C., V.R. (422. C.Sergt H. Horth. 54th Foot), a couple of very light edge bruises and contact marks, otherwise very fine

Henry Horth was born at New Catton, Norfolk and enlisted at Westminster on 15 April 1858. He spent a total of 13 years and 10 months in the East Indies and was promoted to Sergeant on 11 August 1866. He re-engaged at Manchester on 10 July 1867. He was discharged on 3 June 1878 as a result of general debility, having reached the rank of Sergeant Instructor of Musketry.
