Duncan Campbell Thomson was born in 1895 and enlisted into the Royal Flying Corps on 22 February 1917. He entered the war in France on 16 March 1917 but was admitted to hospital on 18 July 1917 and returned Home on 28 July 1917 firstly being sent to the hospital at Eastleigh before being transferred to the hospital at Lewisham. Thomson did not see any further service overseas and was transferred to the Reserves on 20 March 1919.
