Frank Lamboll disembarked on the Western Front on 6 June 1915 and initially served as a Gunner before serving as a Bombardier. He was killed in action on 30 January 1917 and is buried at the Rue-Des-Berceaux Military Cemetery, Richebourg-L'avoue.

Willie Lamboll was the elder brother of Frank and served with the Prince of Wales's Leinster Regiment (Royal Canadians).
