Henry Charles Brockett was born at Croydon, Surrey and enlisted at Clapham Junction. On the outbreak of the Great War, he enlisted into the 23rd Battalion, County of London Regiment and first served on 16 October 1915 on the Western Front. The London Regiment was part of the Territorial Force and formed part of the 6th London Brigade. He remained in France for the duration of the war before being killed in action on 15 October 1918. He is buried in the Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery, Souchez and his pension was claimed by his widow, Annie.
