Richard Greenall was born in 1885 at Widnes, Lancashire and attested there with the South Lancashire Regiment. He entered the war in France on 13 February 1915 and was serving with them in the vicinity of Shell Trap Farm on 3 May 1915 when he was killed in action. Greenall is commemorated upon the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.
