A 1914-15 Star Trio awarded to Private W. R. Morgan, Royal Fusiliers, who was awarded a Military Medal in 1918

1914-15 Star (No.G-16535 Pte. W. R. Morgan. 13 R.Fus.); British War and Victory Medals (G-16535 Pte. W. R. Morgan. 13 R. Fus.), very fine (3)

M.M. London Gazette 14 January 1918.

William R. Morgan first enters the War on 10 August 1915, his Medal Index Card notes the theatre as '3' which would be for Russia, serving with the 2nd Battalion. He then saw service in the French theatre of War where he was awarded his Military Medal whilst serving with the 13th Battalion Royal Fusiliers. Morgan transferred to the 7th Hussars (83814) and his entry for the 1914-15 Star roll notes a Star being issued by the Corps of Hussars but this was returned, this is also repeated on his Medal Index Card. His Trio appears to have been issued from the mint in India.
