Army L.S. & G.C., G.V.R. (11418 Dvr: C. Shepherd. A.S.C.), good very fine

Charles Shepherd was born near Winchester in 1872 and was an indoor servant by trade upon his joining the Army Service Corps in September 1893. Having served with exemplary service being a '...very good food waiter and experienced butler', he took his L.S. & G.C. Medal in January 1912 and was discharged in October 1915, having served at home since August 1914; sold together with copied research.
