Matthew Evott served as a Private during the Chinese Wars, for which he was further entitled to the Second China War Medal.
Edmund Arnsby was born in Malta on 30 April 1867. He enlisted to joined 4th Battalion, Connaught Rangers on 31 July 1882, aged 15 years old. During his 21 years of service, he spent 3 years serving abroad in Malta between 1889-92. Upon returning on 4 December 1892, he married at Westport in County Mayo. He subsequently had four children. He discharged from service on 31 July 1903 aged 36 and later died on 17 April 1939 aged 71.
Leonard West was born in 1883 and enlisted to join the First World War on 15 August 1914, when he was sent to the Western Front. He initially served as a Gunner, and then a Bombardier with the 7th Brigade, Royal Horse Artillery. He was killed in action on 4 October 1917, likely at the Battle of Broodseinde which was the most successful Allied attack of the Third Battle of Ypres. He is buried at the Vlamertinghe New Military Cemetery in Belgium. He was further entitled to the 1914 Star and British War and Victory Medals.
H.J. Cornish was a Mechanist Serjeant-Major with the Royal Engineers.
