Albert James Hamm enlisted on 31 December 1908 and originally served in the Royal Garrison Artillery (30377) before he transferred to the "Y" 5th Divisional Trench Mortar Battery Royal Field Artillery (265397). He is entitled to a Silver War badge (467884) as a result of sickness and was discharged on 3 June 1919. Hamm died on 26 January 1920 and is buried in the Sandown (Christ Church) Churchyard, Isle of Wight, Hampshire.
