An unusual sole-entitlement British War Medal awarded to Captain W. J. Broad, School of Musketry (General List)

British War Medal 1914-20 (Capt. W. J. Broad.), good very fine

William John Broad was born on 28 December 1876 and during the Great War served as a Captain in School of Musketry. A native of Dover, his Medal was sent to Sunny Croft, Park Road and he remained there by 1939, being Secretary at the Electricity Depot. Broad probably saw his fair share of the events of the Second World War, be that the 'small ships' from Dunkirk or the Battle of Britain.
