Robert George Keane earned his decoration for service with the 69th Anti-Aircraft Section, Royal Engineers, in Salonica. He was awarded the Territorial Efficiency Medal in February 1930 and commissioned Lieutenant (Quartermaster) with the 27th London Anti-Aircraft Battalion (London Electrical Engineers), Royal Engineers on 27 May 1930; sold together with copied research and the recipient's original commissioning document.
