Leslie Thomas Udall was born on 4 October 1922, he originally enlisted into the Hampshire Regiment and transfered to the Royal Engineers on 4 January 1940. He then served with the Glider Pilot Regiment as a Sergeant and appears in the War Diary of No.1 Wing on 1 April 1944 as part of the News of the World Relay Race team. He is later confirmed on the roll for the Palestine 1945-48 clasp, serving with No.1 Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment. Udall died in 1979.
