A fine Burma and later South East Asia campaign group awarded to Captain K. F. C. Warburton 24th Mountain Regiment, Indian Artillery who was wounded on 15 February 1944 going through the Ngakyedauk Pass to help relieve the 7th Division in the Admin Box at Sinzweya
The 24th Indian Mountain Regiment provided much needed artillery support during the battle of Kohima; post war Warburton was an Assam tea planter

Kenneth Frederick Charles Warburton was born on 19 January 1917 at Godstone, Surrey. He enlisted in the 63rd Field Brigade Royal Artillery on 7 April 1938, posted a year later to the 96th City of London Field Regiment, TA before being commissioned Second Lieutenant on 30 May 1941 being posted to the 24th Mountain Regiment, Indian Artillery, 20th Battery, on 13 September 1942 for service in Burma.
He was wounded on 15 February 1944 going through the Ngakyedauk Pass to help relieve 7th Division in the Admin Box at Sinzweya, receiving a gunshot wound to the right shoulder and a grenade wound in the right leg.
The 24th Indian Mountain Regiment, part of 161 Brigade 5th Indian Division, delivered accurate fire when & where needed during the first battle of Kohima , 3 to 16 April 1944, from their position at Jotsoma.
He was posted to the Mountain Artillery Training centre from 21 April 1944 until 20 April 1945. His final posting was Adjutant to the 24th Mountain Regiment for service in the Dutch East Indies; the 24th Mountain Regiment again provided artillery support during the bloody battle of Surabaya, 10th to 24th November 1945. Warburton was discharged in April 1946.
Post war Warburton was a tea planter at the Katonibari Tea Estate in Assam, he died at Bournemouth on 21 June 2014.
