George Francis McLelland Redpath Brown was born at Glasgow on 5 June 1866 and enlisted in the Cameron Highlanders on 24 November 1886 serving with them until 23 November 1898. He re-enlisted in the Royal Artillery on 19 December 1898 and was discharged 18 December 1902.
George Francis Charles Mclelland Brown was born at Woolwich on 22 January 1900, the son of George Francis McLelland Redpath Brown who served in the Royal Artillery. Enlisting in the Royal Navy he served in the Great War being shore pensioned in January 1930. Subsequently joining the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve he commanded 1934 A.T.C. Squadron. He died at Plymouth in December 1969; sold together with a family photograph including Brown in his naval uniform.
Alan John McLelland Brown was born at Woolwich in April 1932. Educated at Kent College Canterbury, he graduated from RAF Cranwell and joined 1934 A.T.C. Squadron of which his father was the Commanding Officer. He died on 12 April 2018; sold together with the box of issue for his Cadet Forces medal, his national registration card and photographs of the recipient.
