Duke and Duchess of York
1935 Christmas card sent by the future King George VI and Queen Elizabeth with an aerial photograph of The Royal Lodge (Windsor Great Park), signed in ink "from Albert". "Elizabeth" is signed using a stamp as the Duchess of York was indisposed at the time. The Duke has written "1936" after the printed message "With all good wishes for Christmas and the New Year 1936". This was their last card before the abdication of Edward VIII in December 1936 when they ascended the throne. Some marks to the front of the card but perfect within (16x19.5cm)
