S. Herschel writing about a "star shower", Cruickshank, Shaftesbury, Argyll, John Bright, J. Chamberlain, Levi Coffin, Warwick, Sir Roderick Murchison, Henry James, Selbourne, M. Faraday, Florence Nightingale (end of a letter, in ink), Max Bruch on a decorative title page "Dem Andenken Schiller's".
