Sir Richard Owen (1804-1892)
c1860 Two envelope fronts addressed by Owen to the Editor of the Morning Advertiser, London, signed "From Rd Owen" in place of the stamp, both charged 2d postage due. Owen, the renowned biologist and paleontologist coined the term "Dinosauria" (Terrible Reptile), more commonly known as Dinosaur today. He was an outspoken critic of Darwin. (2)
