1d. red-brown CB-DB, CI-DI and GA-HA vertical pairs and single lettered CH, tied variously by a combination of "glendaruel" (Type III) handstamp in blue and "strachur" (Type VIII) boxed handstamp in black to 1857 (May) envelope sent registered from Glasgow to Dunoon via Greenock where, on arrival, the adhesives have additionally been tied by '163' barred numerals; the envelope marked "Registered Letter" by addressee and in separate hand in red crayon, the adhesives and envelopes with various defects though a remarkable piece, this being the only known cover bearing three different cancellation types.
