Libya, United Kingdom & Kingdom of Libya (1951-69), Law Court Badge of Office, Criminal Court Badge, 78mm x 63mm, silvered, gilt and enamel, with loop for wear to reverse, good very fine

It is believed the Badges were suspended from a blue sash with narrow red edge stripes. The manufacturer is unknown and were possibly Italian. The Kingdom of Libya court system included the Supreme Court, Courts of Appeal, and Courts of First Instance. The Supreme Court served as the final appellate court. A Consul’s badge has been referred to but not seen. It is interesting to note these Badges are not dissimilar to those used in Egypt.
