Provenance
The Little Busby Hoard of Roman Denarii, found at Little Busby, North Yorkshire, on 2 June 2021 [PAS YORYM-B64A28]
Covering two outputs of coinage from Hadrian's Third Consulship, covering late 120-121 and late 121-123, we begin to see more expression of the variety of busts for which Hadrian's coinage was known. The latter examples from this selection include a more truncated neck, suggesting a move towards the more stylised busts of the latter Hadrianic period.
