Roman Empire, Vespasian (AD 69-79), AR Denarii (5): i) illegible type, laureate head of Titus right (?), rev. Jupiter standing facing, 2.71g (cf. RIC 863/874); ii) another, struck 76, IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, laureate head right, rev. PON MAX TR P COS VII, Pax seated left, holding branch, 2.96g (RIC 852; BMC 184a), heavily smoothed, fair to good; iii) another, struck 76-77, CAESAR AVG F DOMITIANVS, laureate head of Domitian right, rev. COS IIII, Pegasus flying right, 2.89g (RIC 921; BMC 193), portrait scratched, some deposits, good; iv) another, as before, 2.81g, slightly better portrait; v) another, as before, 2.39g, considerably worn, with scratches and verdigris, about fair; (5).
