Roman Empire, Vespasian (AD 69-79), AR Denarii (4): i) Rome, struck 76, IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, laureate head right, rev. IOVIS CVSTOS, Jupiter standing facing, sacrificing from patera over altar and holding sceptre, 2.70g (RIC 849; BMC 276), lustrous, softened to reverse, fine; ii) another, 2.79g, good; iii) another, 2.81g, verdigris to portrait, fair to good; iv) another, as before but with laureate head left, 2.77g (RIC 850), worn with deposits, but fine (4)
