(x) Cnut 'the Great' (1016-1035), 'Short Cross' Type, Penny, 1029-1035, Norwich, Manna, + CNVT •R•CCX•: diademed bust left with three horizontal folds and three large vertical pellets to drapery; lis-tipped sceptre before, rev. + MANA ON NORÐ:, voided short cross with large pellet-in-annulet in centre within inner circle, 1.13g [17.44grns], 6h (Hildebrand 2959-2960 [Type H]; SCBI 15 [Copenhagen, Part IIIc], 3200 same dies; SCBI 26 [East Anglia], 1244-1245; FEJ 626 same dies; North 790; BMC XVI; S.1159), minor corrosion around sceptre, otherwise of excellent fabric with golden toning, good very fine
