Late Anglo-Saxon Pennies (2), including: Harold I 'Harefoot' (1035-1040), 'Jewel Cross' Type, Penny, c. 1036-1038, London, Goda, + HARÐA-CNVT R, diademed and draped bust left, rev. + GODD ON LVND, quadrilobe cross extending from central pelleted-annulet, 1.23g (North 802; S.1163), broken in two, otherwise struck details very fine; additionally, Edward the Confessor (1042-1066), 'Pyramids' Type, Penny, 1065-1066, Winchester, Anderboda, EADPARD REX, crowned and bearded bust right, trefoil-tipped sceptre before, rev. + ANDERBODE ON, short cross voided, a pyramid springing from the inner circle and terminating in a pellet in angles, 1.18g, 10h (SCBI 24 [West Country], 973; FEJ 959; Doubleday 579; North 831; BMC 1501; S.1184), in two parts, with some softness to otherwise a pleasingly round flan, bolder fine; also, Medieval Issues, Edward I (1272-1307), Pennies (3), Canterbury; and London (2), about fine to fine, one of the London issues with part of flan missing; also, Henry VI (1422-1461), Annulet Issue, Half-Groat, Calais, 1.61g, 5h, m.m pierced cross (North 1429; S.1840), fine; and, Edward IV, Second Reign (1471-1483), Groat, London, 2.43g, 12h, m.m. annulet (North 1631; S.2096) clipped, fair to fine; also, Tudor Issues, Henry VIII (1509-1547), 'Sovereign' Type, Penny, Bishop Wolsey, Durham, 0.52g, 9h, m.m. star (North 1811; S.2352), serious flan crack, but otherwise toned fine; lastly, Austro-Hungary, Ferdinand I, Pfennig of Kemnitz, good fine (9)
