Charles I (1625-1649), Group E, Type 4.3, Shilling, 1638-1639, Tower (under King), fifth 'Aberystwyth' crowned bust left, wearing falling lace collar, with rounded shoulder, large XII behind, rev. square-topped shield over cross-moline, 1h, 5.99g, m.m anchor (Brooker 517-521; North 2229; Spink 2792), scratched across the bust, softly struck and with dark silver-green fields, very fine; Group F, Type 4.4, Shilling, 1645, Tower (under Parliament), Briot's crowned bust left, with falling lace collar, value behind, rev. square-topped shield over cross-moline, 7h, 5.62g, m.m eye (Brooker 556-559; North 2232; Spink 2799), small plug mark at 12 o'clock, softly struck and short of flan, otherwise with a pleasing, about very fine (2)
