Charles I (1625-1649), Group F, Type 4.4, Shilling, 1639-1640, Tower (under King), sixth crowned and draped bust left, with falling lace collar, large value behind, rev. square-topped shield over cross moline, 4h, 5.88g, m.m triangle (Brooker [cf. 543-545]; North 2231; Spink 2799), the portrait softly struck and with some doubling to the obverse, the field with some hairlining, yet with a pleasing lustre and tone, good very fine; Group F, Type 4.4, Shilling, 1639-1640, Tower (under King), as before, 9h, 5.94g, m.m triangle (Brooker [cf. 543-545]; North 2231; Spink 2799), doubling in the legends and mostly flat to the portrait, fine; Group D, Type 3a1, Penny, crowned bust left, with falling lace collar, value behind, rev. oval shield, 12h, 0.48g, m.m trio of pellets (Brooker 701; North 2270; Spink 2847), soft in parts, toned, fine (3)
