Army Meritorious Service Medal, G.V.R. coinage head (Bndmstr. W. B. Wiltshire. L.N. Lan. R.), a couple of light scratches, otherwise very fine
M.S.M. appears in Appendix to Army Order 235a of 1902.
William Brooks Wiltshire was born at Shorncliffe, Sandgate, Kent in 1865 and enlisted with the 60th Brigade of the 73rd Regiment at Lanark on 8 September 1879 with the number 686. He transferred to the 2nd Battalion of the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment on 1 August 1897 and was given the number 5505. Discharged at Gibraltar on 14 July 1902, his trade was described as 'musician' and he was further entitled to an Army L.S. & G.C.
