The L.S. & G.C. Medal awarded to Master-at-Arms G. F. Boyle, Royal Navy, who was aboard the the Majestic at Gallipoli when she was torpedoed and sunk in 1915

George Francis Bloye born on 31 March 1868 at Millbrook, Cornwall enlisted in the Royal Navy on 14 September 1883. His Long Service & Good Conduct medal was awarded on 27 April 1901; he retired on 31 March 1906. Re-called to the Fleet Reserve on 2 August 1914 he served in the Dardanelles on H.M.S. Majestic which was sunk by a German torpedo from U21 on 27 May 1915. Bloye was shore pensioned on 30 June 1915; sold together with copied service papers.
