M.S.M. London Gazette 17 June 1918.

F. J. Mallows was awarded the M.S.M. for devotion whilst serving in the 100th Air Line Section, Royal Engineers. The Sections were required to maintain the lines and wires along which signals and telephone communications were passed; sold together with a St. Helena bronze Medallion.
