Horace Newman enlisted on 5 September 1914 and was discharged on 3 July 1918, at age 22, due to wounds inflicted at Salonika and is further entitled to a Silver War Badge.

Sold together with copied medal rolls and original waxed cotton cover for his personal military documents, containing a photograph of Newman.
