Edward Fenn first served overseas in France on 23 May 1915 and was commissioned into the Royal Field Artillery. His medals were applied for on 10 March 1919 (Star) and 7 December 1920 (pair). They were sent to Wellsworth, Rowland's Castle, Hampshire.
