General Service 1918-62, 1 clasp, Cyprus (23453633 Gdsm. H.B. Wright. Gren. Gds.), mounted ordinary style as worn, one edge knock at 8 o'clock, otherwise good very fine

Hugh Blaxton Wright was born on 13 February 1938 and enlisted with the Grenadier Guards in February 1958. He served with the 2nd Battalion, Grenadier Guards in Cyprus from February 1958 and participated in operations in Lebanon. The unit returned home to England in December 1958. Wright later served with his Regiment in Germany, where they were stationed at Hubbelrath from 1959. He was discharged in February 1960, and the following month in March joined the Territorial Army. Later in life, Wright resided in Glasgow; sold together with copied research including medal roll and a photograph which includes Wright.
