Percy Stanley James served with various South African units during the Great War, including the South African Infantry (as Staff Serjeant-Major), South African Army Service Corps (as Serjeant-Mechanist) and South African Special Service Company, with whom was commissioned temporary Second Lieutenant on 1 January 1918; sold together with copied London Gazette entries.
