Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Central India (F, Hall. 14th Lgt Drgns), lightly polished, very fine

Frederick Hall was born at Woolwich and attested at Kent on 15 August 1854, listing previous employment as a hatter. Despite 21 years of service, Hall was to spend less than three on foreign service, all of which was in India. He joined Sir Hugh Rose's Central India Field force and saw heavy fighting at Koonch, the advance on Culpee, and at the siege of Gwalior. His service papers list a bevy of smaller actions during this period in which Hall served as a Sergeant; sold together with copied service papers.
