Raymond George Flower was serving as a Flight Sergeant in 1953 when he was awarded the Queen's Commendation for Valuable Services in the Air (London Gazette 1 January 1953). Promoted Master Engineer on 3 August 1961, Flower was later commissioned Flying Officer; sold together with several original photographs and containing a letter from Dan-Air Services accepting the recipient as an Engineer Officer with the Comet Fleet along with copied London Gazette entries and an extract from 'Service Aviation'.
