Enoch Williams was born on 8 August 1899 at Hawarden and served in France with the 9th Battalion from 19 July 1915. Having won his M.M., he was taken a Prisoner of War whilst serving with 'B' Company at Cambrai on 23 March 1918, on the First Day of the German Spring Offensive.
